Part of a whole house redesign for a work experience placement, Pates Avenue En suite was aimed at exploring the creative development process of design. Through this process, I was tasked with converting a small en suite space into a positive, light, and relaxing bathroom for two parents and was designed to be their romantic space away from the hustle and bustle of having a young family. It was important that this space felt calming and grounding which was why real plants, pink accents and soft textures were chosen. By adding a water and mold resistant sheer roller blind, it allows the design to stay light and breezy whilst also adding privacy.
This project was completed for a work experience placement and my responsibilities included the design itself and any visual aspects for presentation. Through this development process, it was easy for the client to understand materials, textures, lighting, finishes, product types and even a sense of the kind of lifestyle they would be able to achieve through the final photo-realistic image and accompanying video.
